How to Apply for the License: Most of the required documents are submitted to NRED with the licensing application prior to taking the real estate exam. A score of at least 75% on each portion is required to pass. Test takers are allotted 120 minutes to complete the national portion, and 60 minutes to complete the state-specific portion. Both portions are comprised of multiple choice questions with four answer choices provided for each question. Five to ten questions (disbursed throughout both portions of the exam) are considered "experimental" questions and are not scored.
